The sidewalk always wins

There is always a lesson to learn when you watch “The Rifleman.” There is no better teacher for Mark than his father, Lucas McCain. Lucas teaches Mark from “The Bible” and from experience. Sometimes the lessons are hard ones and at times rather easy ones. They are still lessons learned! Let’s discuss the lessons learned in each episode. “Every lesson you learn makes you a better partner.” “Just remember the lessons!”

The sidewalk always wins

I spent a wonderful week in Florence, Italy last week! However, halfway through the trip, clumsy me literally fell flat on my face! I currently have three shiners! The worst part: I slept through an entire day and missed out on a lot of sightseeing.

Oh my Dana, sorry to hear about your fall. Tell us, what did you see before or after your accident?

What a way to remember Italy!

Ohhh Dana - You Poor Poor Thing! How Awful!

How in the world did you fall? Were you traveling with someone that could take care of you after your fall?

I can't wait to hear all about your trip. Are you gonna post any pictures? :)

First things first - feel better soon.

Thank you for your concern! It was a wonderful trip-no pun intended- with family. Luckily, one of the family members is in the medical field and took care of me. You know how cobblestones and sidewalks have a way of jumping out at you sometimes! My pride was more hurt than anything else.

We stayed by the palazzo vecchio. I visited the duomo, the uffizi, the academy, the pitti palace, the Galileo science museum, Santo spirito church, Santa Croce cathedral, and the bargello. We also ate a lot of gelato!

I am feeling much better. Thank you all for your concern. I have an eye hand coordination and depth perception learning disability. Plus, I was wearing flip flops.

In the late 1800's, many American women went to Italy to study art as most American art schools would not let women study drawing nudes.
