#46 - Eddie's Daughter

There is always a lesson to learn when you watch “The Rifleman.” There is no better teacher for Mark than his father, Lucas McCain. Lucas teaches Mark from “The Bible” and from experience. Sometimes the lessons are hard ones and at times rather easy ones. They are still lessons learned! Let’s discuss the lessons learned in each episode. “Every lesson you learn makes you a better partner.” “Just remember the lessons!”

Mark was both cute and charming... but, did anyone else think lil was-at least at first-using Mark to get to Lucas?

This episode contains a public service announcement :the temperance bad guy tells the non-temperance bad guy Johnny delong would still be alive if the nontemperance bad guy had not been drunk. Remember folks: drinking and planning nefarious deeds don't mix!

Even if Mark was not quite sure what a hussy was, did Mark somehow intuit lil was not the kind of gal his father would court? Is that why Mark did not ship her?

Would Lucas have been kinder and more sympathetic towards lil if she had been more conservatively dressed? I think so.

Do you think Lucas would like Miss Kitty? ("GunSmoke")

As a friend, I think he would definitely like her. I think Lucas would have been a great friend of Mary woodson. There were sparks between Lucas and Julia, but I don't know if Lucas could have been more than friends with women with a past.

For me.....I don't think so......I think Lucas liked the women who could do the ...."cookin' and cleaning and such" that Mark referred to.

OK - Let me re-phrase my question.

I didn't mean "like" Miss Kitty as someone to date.
I meant "like" Miss Kitty kinda the way he liked Hattie.

I can't picture Lucas dating Miss Kitty. :msn-oh:
