10 tiny little details you never noticed on The Rifleman

Post by flabirder »

I saw this on metv.com today & thought I'd share it. There's some interesting info in it.

Thanks flabirder, although I do have most of these on the ranch/website/riflemanconnors.com, there is one I didn't know and that was #7 - Buddy Hackett was four years younger than the actor who played his son.

Did you know that..... Chuck was older then John Anderson?
Chuck was born April 10, 1921 — John was born October 20, 1922 in Clayton, Illinois
Chuck died November 10, 1992 — John died August 7, 1992 in Sherman Oaks, California of a heart attack

Now where does that leave Johnny Gibb, The Brother in-law? That would make John Anderson 4 years old when he had Johnny. So if Margaret is older then Johnny.....well.....you do the math.

I'm feeling much better. I thought this virus was going to do me in but Praise God I am recovering.

I did not know about the Buddy Hackett info and the info you gave about Jerome Courtland was very intriguing. I read up on him.....Being a professor, writing childrens books, working for Disney. I just love to read the back story of actors. and I think the back story of the actors of times past is more interesting than todays actors. they were educated, multi talented, served with distinction in the war and worked in so many areas just to make a living. yeah we need to do the math about Margaret ha

interesting Adam Williams, Jake Pardee, was married to Marilee Phelps, Miss Adams. Adam was a skilled pilot and a war hero. John Milford was a skilled engineer. Edgar Buchanan was a dentist in real life. He should have been the one to pull Marks tooth instead of Rhys Williams. ha

you know this may be a nice link for you to start.........who were they before they started acting......
