And, yes, Michelle, PLEASE sing for us!!!

Over the years, I have seen it numberous times on stage.  John Davidson often starred in the lead in the 80s and 90s.  I had the good fortune to sit across the aisle from him on a plane once.  He and Jamie Farr (Klinger on MASH) had just finished a production in Little Rock (circa 1992) and were both on the plane.  It was great to talk with him about his career and about Oklahoma (one of his favorite roles)

I watch the movie at least once a year.  One of my favorite recent productions is the one shown from time to time on PBS with Hugh Jackman as Curly.  It's great!

(in other words, from the first word to the last word).  There's nothing I would take out of it (except the dream - never really did care for that part)...I watched it when I was 16, but had to go to bed before it was over.  So I made my Mom rent it for me the next day and I watched it three times that week and protested when she told me I had to return the video to the video store - and NO, I could NOT buy it!!!  I didn't have the movie until just a few years ago.

Now I'll have to watch it again soon...Maybe this weekend :-)
