The first song he sings is the Deadwood Stage (Whip Crack Away), which was not a song from the post Civil War years.  In fact, it is a song from the musical, Calamity Jane (1953) starring Doris Day.

The other song he sings is Some Sunday Morning.  This is an old folk song that was first made famous in 1918--so it might be of the right era.

I just love seeing these again.  What fun!

Personally, I liked his song, 'With these Hands'....

Cheyenne is another of my 'Top Ten' favorite TV Westerns, but I can't collect them ALL on DVD....I mean, 8 seasons??....wait, I just checked, and - I guess because of the rotating westerns, Cheyenne only made 107 episodes over that period....THAT might be manageable!
