Ride Beyond Vengeance

Everybody knows Chuck Connors for his role as Lucas McCain in "The Rifleman." He also did so many other things. He was good at no matter what he did! Besides The Rifleman what else have you enjoyed seeing Chuck in?

Every time I watch The Rifleman - 'Nora' - I can't help but think of this movie.  A bit different but somewhat a like.  Chuck/Jonas falls in love with a a wealthy girl, Nora/Jessie.  But neither of these men take advantage of the situation.  They want to be their own man!  They want to make it on their own in the world.

The scene with Johnsy Boy Hood/Billy Bixby, branding iron is one of the many great scenes in this movies.  I still cringe when I see this part as well as the part where Jonas gets 'Branded.'

Another great part is of course the Barroom brawl between Jonas & Elwood Coates (Claude Atkins).  I also get a kick out of the part with Elwood talking to whiskey Man!   smiley_rollonfloor

Of course I always enjoy seeing Paul Fix!  Great cast all the way around!  It's like a Rifleman reunion!

William Wyler (Big Country) was quoted as saying "Ride Beyond Vengeance" had one of the greatest fight scenes he ever saw on the screen. This bar room brawl had so many great reviews!

This movie is a must!  Gotta love it!

I got to meet James MacArthur a few years back.  What a nice man!  I have a promo picture of him from this movie & had him sign it!

Can you tell this is one of my favorite Chuck Connors movie?

Do you think Jessie went after him?  I'd like to think so, but I don't know.  What do you think?

Ya' know Cowgirlatheart, I have mixed feeling about this.  I liked to think Jessie went after him, but yet I'm not sure after all that had happened between them that it would have just put a strain on their relationship.  Sometimes you just can't go back.  He also carries the mark that would be a constant reminder.

I liked to think Jessie went after Jonas, and took Jessie back and it worked! :q17:

So I was hoping that she would run out on the porch as Jonas was leaving and he would reach down and pull her on the horse and ride off into the sunset.

But that's a long-shot at best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do remember how compassionate Maria was towards Joans.

I honestly feel Jessie was a spoiled brat in many ways.  She even tricked her aunt into letting them get married.  She always seemed to get what she wanted.

But I also can't help think of the love Jessie & Jonas had in the beginning.  It was good!
