Yes and no. As much as it is always awesome when Mark puts up a protective fight for his pa, he was still only 14... but Johnny C. was beginning to grow into his actual age of 16, making it more difficult to remember the two year age difference.

What automatically came to me about this part of the scene was that Mark was thinking on going back to maybe give his pa a hug or kiss or tell him that he loved him (or all three!) ... then realizing himself, smiled that knowing smile that his pa understood, and went back in. :angel13:
