In Mark's Rifle this is the same dress.

Mark's Rifle is episode #150 and Conflict #155.

I think Lucas was acting like a spoiled child in Conflict thinking maybe he wasn't the BEST after all. His big ego got whittled down to size.

I found Lucas to be very annoying in this one especially with Micah...like he was superman and when he missed the cat he worried that he wasn't the BEST like he thought he was. Also hated how he was practicing with the rifle in the early morning and waking up Mark. This was almost as bad as Most Amazing Man.

He always wanted to talk out troubles between them like in Gun Shy but Lucas not only doesn't discuss his trouble with Mark but avoids him. He didn't practice what he preached.

Wonder if that is why they titled it "Conflict"?

Seriously, I agree, this was a pretty strange episode.
You could say that in nearly every episode, Lucas was,
well... Lucas.
Except this one. Rude, and just a big baby.

Reality is... that had to have a couple that weren't gems!

I got a giggle out of that one, Dan.

Gloria Fortner:33069 wrote:I didn't like this one either.  Lucas did act like a spoiled brat.  If he was so concerned about Mark, he should have already let him had a rifle so he could protect himself.  After all, this was the frontier and dangerous things happened.  He always treated Mark like a two year old every time he would ask for a gun.  This was one time Mark should have had one.  The entire episode sort of fell flat.

Little Mark would be out hunting with Lucas ie. Angry Man and Skull but in Conflict he was nothing but in the way.

Michelle P.:33359 wrote:Lucas is a down-right JERK i n this episode!!!  I am ashamed of the way he acted and think Lou should have taken a big stick to him and told him a few things about how to treat other people and get over the fact that HE'S NOT PERFECT!!!

 I roll my eyes every time I watch this episode - from Mark's nightmare (over a near cougar attack?  Good grief, he's had closer encounters than that!) to Lucas' cocky "I'm supposed to be better than everyone else" attitude.  Something HAD to be wrong with his rifle or eyes since he "missed."  Oh PU-LEEZE!!!!!

AND his drinking early in the morning?  THAT wasn't Lucas AT ALL!!!

Yep, this episode is pretty low down on the list...(still above that episode which shall ever be left unnamed, though)
