PJH:6647 wrote:I love this expression, but can't find any reference to it anywhere.  So just using  what I know about snakes and ladies at a sewing bee, I surmise that "leaving a trail like a garter snake at a sewing bee" could mean leaving a clear trail that can't be missed.

Usually snakes don't leave much of a trail, but if one showed up at a sewing bee, I'm sure the ladies would jump around and run away, leaving all of their sewing things scattered---a trail that anyone could follow.

Anyone have other thoughts?

Your posts adds up to different names like Ranch Hand or Sidekick.  The more you post the higher up the title you go.  Example: PJH is a Sidekick she has 958 post.
