Christmas presents

Sweeney would like to welcome you to his place. Bar room chatter goes here, but only virtual drinks.

I'd like to think that Lou would think that jacket was horrendous.

A very special north fork Christmas or Mark meets Rhoda snipe, gets a lump of coal and a slap in the face

Mark: miss Rhoda, do you think you could help me with a special Christmas present for my pa?

Rhoda: I'd be delighted , Mark.

Mark: well, I overheard Micah and Mr. Sweeney talking about something my pa really needs, but I ain't exactly sure what it is.

Rhoda: maybe I'll know. I can ride a horse faster than my brothers.

Mark: I don't think it has anything to do with horses, ma'am. Ma'am, are you a hussy?

The ole barber pole jacket.......it was too funny.......Lucas can always use several boxes of 44/40 shells and Mark needs a new pair of slippers.; Mark needs another Sunday-go-to Meeting shirt, he only has one.

Micah needs a belt clip to clip the handcuff keys to. He's always dropping them

Micah also needs a storage locker, so he's not keeping loaded guns and other evidence on his desk where eleven-year-old boys cannot play with the guns!

How about a pair of his & hers matching jeans for Lucas & Milly? Maybe with that big "W" on the pocket! :laughingcowboy: :sillycowboy:

Dan, do you think Milly was a pioneer of sorts wearing jeans?
Milly was way ahead of her time! She looked good in them, but it wasn’t historically accurate at all. Women didn’t start wearing trousers until the 20’s and 30’s.
I read an online article recently regarding Victorian fashion-which of course, I cannot find. Re the woman: North fork was actually a little out of date when it came to bloomers.
Bloomers were worn in the American Weat as early as the 1860's. From what I understand it was not without controversy, but practicality won out.

Trousers was a poor choice of words. What you found about bloomers I think is right and would trust the article, but from the research I’ve done I don’t think jeans were accepted that early on.
