It appears from the info written that there was a kiss......wonder why it was cut out. and Chuck ad libbing and putting straw in Lous hair........classic!! Patricia did live on a yacht with her husband....so .cool. she was in 22 episodes. I bet there was chemistry, Chuck being of Irish descent and Lous character was Irish. what was Patricias family background?? she died 2013 and was the youngest of the three ladies

Joan Taylor was in 18 episodes and I think Lucas kissed her once ("you figure it out") and she kissed him when he was blind and standing by the wagon. she died 2012

Christine White intrigues me and I know little about her. wonder how she was choses for the part? she died 2013, was never married and her bio said she had a 'brief love affair' with James Dean

Lucas kissed Nora in episode Nora..... "Suddenly, I grabbed her and kissed her passionately."
Lucas got kissed in The Lonesome Bride. was there any other kissin'' going on with Lucas I missed??

3 great ladies and ONE handsome hunk!!!! I can just see Lucas standing at the alter with his black tie, Mark standing up with him and Dabbs Greer as the preacher.

we do need the 'tie breaker' now!!

"We've had our first kiss", said the anxious Miss. Blair.
A kiss we'll never see!
How dare they leave that scene on the cutting room floor! :tantrum:

The kisses between Milly and Lucas were not very romantic.
Ann Dodd got some nice kisses. Lucky Woman! :giggle:

"High Country" ~ Clare got a nice kiss too - even though Lucas was kissing her to get the saw file. (Do what you gotta do - Lucas Boy.)

Lucas surprised me the way he was looking at Eleanor Claremont. It was like he was un-dressing her with his eyes. Soo Sexy! He never looked at Milly or Lou like that.

Hattie got a sweet kiss from Lucas. And Julia got to un-button Lucas' shirt.

At least Chuck got to kiss a few women on "Branded".

Deneen....love your comment.....Lucas could un-dress a woman with his eyes (those BLUE eyes) ......swoon

Let me add this poem to the mix. I will be glad to see who gives the tie breaker!! Cowgirl, if you want could you copy this to the poem section.

Lucas Is Getting Married (But to Whom??)
A poem by Wildwest

Yep, you heard the rumor just like me
And this is something I just gotta see

Word around North Fork town
Is our eligible bachelor is going down

Lucas is about to change his life
As ‘wild wild Lucas is taking a wife

The circuit riding preacher has been spotted now
To do the ceremony as they say their vows

Hattie came in on the stage at noon
She always loved Lucas ‘as her own’.

Micah and Mark will stand up with him to see
What a handsome threesome that will be

The ladies are fixin’ their special dishes
Everyone is attending and giving best wishes

Mark is excited for Lucas to have a mate
So excited he wants to relate

Mark loves the gal Lucas has chosen to woo
“She has crimsom hair, chestnut eyes, wears flowers, soft hands too”

“To be his friend, someone to talk to about his troubles
And do the ‘cookin’ and cleaning and such”

Now Mark can go away to Harvard Law School
Knowing Lucas has a wife he loves so much

To have that person, a friend, he could talk to
About his troubles and such.

So I see frills, flowers and lace
Soon coming to decorate the place.

And in the evening as the sun goes down
Lucas has someone to sit with and reflect
“And Lucas isn’t really lookin’ back…just remembering back”
And giving thanks!

Maybe is was Rebecca Snipes sister Rhoda they told Lucas about since Rebecca was already engaged. we can only dream about the gal who snatched up Lucas Boy.

I did post your poem wildwest on the ranch / website, thanks!

What a great poem it is!

Thank you for sharing this with us.

I agree with you Deneen about leaving this part out on the cutting room floor. I wonder what happened to all those cut scenes?

I agree with both of you. wouldn't it be nice to have a reel of the 'cut scenes' like there is a reel of some outtakes (I bet there is a LOT more., there would have to be for five seasons) and a reel of the 'casualty list'

shucks.....we just want it ALL

I love behind the scenes and things that happened and they never aired.

I'm glad today they do show things like this on youtube. But sadly not much of The Rifleman. Where are these clips?

Don't know. I suspect they went out in the trash or if someone had the thought to save it privately.

a lot are lost forever especially the old silent films. even in Hollywood heyday the wardrobe departments did not faithfully save precious wardrobe pieces. they either trashed them or cut them up to make other pieces. I was glad Debbie Reynolds purchased and saved so many.

When i was in LA 15 years ago we went thru a film archive building on the MGM lot. dust free and climate controlled. in the early film and TV era they probably had no idea people would cherish this stuff 50 - 100 years later.

National Film Preservation Foundation

The Library of Congress has documented that only 20% of U.S. feature films from the 1910 and 1920s survive in complete form in American archives; of the American features produced before 1950, about half still exist.

For Hollywood, the tide has turned. Commercial producers now invest heavily in the protection of their film libraries.

The laboratory work necessary to save a film is expensive. In 2010, making a new master and viewing print of a seven-reel black-and-white silent feature costs about $18,115, assuming that no special restoration work is required. Making a supervised digital video for public viewing adds another $3,000 to the total. Preserving a sound feature costs even more.

With the money actors - producers and directors are paid these days - you'd think someone would invest in preserving the films of yester-year.

One successful movie or TV show and an actor is set for life.
