The Last Hours of
Anissa Jones
"When the light went out on the dear life of my young friend and co-star, Anissa Jones, so many years ago, the world became a darker place from which I never fully recovered," Kathy Garver recalls, who played Cissy Davis on the long-running hit Family Affair to Anissa Jones' Buffy Davis character.

Please join this important broadcast this weekend and learn the truth behind the tragedy that took this wonderful, talented life all too soon at the young age of only 18.

While her life ended all too soon, she continues to bring joy to audiences half a century later as the dear little Buffy Davis, forever a tribute to an all-too-short life.

I watched this at 9 EDT and right now it's being shown again. Also watched the original series on TV. One of my favorites. Especially enjoyed seeing the clip of Anissa with Jimmy Durante. Such a talent and such a great loss.

I didn't get to see this, I forgot about it or I would have DVR'd it. What station aired this Western Gal? Maybe they will air it again.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

The station is called REELZ and Comcast carries it here on channel 176. I looked at their schedule and it indicates Anissa's story will be shown again on Thursday, July 27th at 8 PM EDT. Both Kathy and Johnny Whitaker are contributors to the story which provides a rather sad insight to her short life, and subsequent death.

Love the clip you found! The one shown is the program is only a couple of minutes where Anissa and Jimmy are presenting an award. She is so natural and at ease and just plain adorable. They make quite a pair!

You are most welcome Cowgirl!

The REELZ web site schedule and my local Comcast TV listings show 8 PM on Thursday, but the web site now has a 16 second "teaser" indicating 7 PM on Thursday. Will try to check later and see if they have gotten their act together. :dontknow:

I just checked again and everything is the still the same. The "teaser" still says 7 PM ET and everythng else says 8 PM ET. I'd go with everything else!

Thanks WG, I have it programmed on my DVDR - hopefully it will pick it up no matter what time it is on. I'll check too.

Thanks!

Thanks Cowgirl for putting that clip up. Jimmy was a great performer, one of the great vaudvillians.
....the one and only Schnozola. and Anissa was precious.
