More cases of identity

Post by Dana » Wed Jun 13, 2018 3:07 am

In a case of identity, con men tried to convince Aaron Wingate Mark was Wingate's long lost son, thus incurring lucas's wrath. Name some other episodes where there was a mistake, con, or confusion about who somebody was.

When Lucas let the guy say he owned the ranch to fool his dying Mother. a similar episode on Mayberry when Andy let Otis act like a deputy to impress his brother.

"The Wrong Man" - Beauregard 'Curly' Smith/Frank Hardy/Pete Dawson
It took me more than a minute to figure out Curly and Pete Dawson was
Robert Harris in a duel role. :msn-oh: Duh!

"Man From Salinas" - Dave Foley pretended to be the brother of a bank robber so he could collect the reward.

"Outlaw's Inheritance" - Dave Stafford had the entire town fooled about who he was. (A nice guy) :no2:

"The Surveyors" - Len and Charley were Surveyors but they were also bank robbers.

"The Guest" - Mario Rosati pretended to be a friend of a friend of Lucas'.
He was really hired to kill Lucas.

"Flowers By The Door" - Jason Gowdy - A book salesman that raped and murdered women.

"The Most Amazing Man" - Wade Randall lied about who he was. (Gun Fighter)

"A Time for Singing" - Dan Hewitt pretended to be a preacher. He was in a gang of bank robbers.

"TinHorn" - Lucas pretends to be a gambler.

"Wyoming Story" - Lucas pretends to be an outlaw/gun fighter.

None so blind: Mark thinks Lucas might be the Mac who blinded Fay Bly. Fay mistakes Lucas for the territorial vet.

The Assault - Vashti Croxton lied about who assaulted her, which lead to her accusing Speed for her assault.

Mark's Rifle - Marty Blair told the townfolks that he was a drummer for the circus, telling everyone about the high-wires, exotic animals and clowns, not to mention his fancy show with his pistols, when he really was there to rob the safe at the hotel. (I'm not sure what his intentions was when he got there but it was good.)

*I always thought Lucas should have been the first to show Mark how to use a rifle. I'm surprised Mark didn't feel the same way. I think it was just the excitement of Marty and who he was.
