Back after exploring other trails!

Post by TheUglyBugBall »

Stacey here, from San Francisco. I was active on the message board in 2011-12, then wandered away from the corral as other interests kept me occupied. It's good to be back! I've been re-watching The Rifleman, and it's reminded me of how much I enjoy the show.

The Ugly Bug Ball is the name of my blog and my YouTube channel, where I have a few simple music slideshows with Mark McCain and Johnny Crawford. I got to meet Johnny and Bobby Crawford at the Festival of the West in Phoenix in 2013. Bobby contacted me last summer to make a video with him for his Silver Spur Award from Reel Cowboys in LA. Since then, I've been helping him with fundraising ideas for Johnny's Alzheimer's care. Please check out my new room here at the forum, Support Johnny Crawford. Thanks!

Hey Stacey, it is so good to have you back. You have been missed!

It's a nice thing that you are doing, helping Johnny & his family.

Good luck!

We send Johnny & Charlotte our love and prayers! And Bobby too!

Welcome and nice to meet you. Does Bobby have any intention of having a more active FB page for himself? Many of his fans would probably enjoy that.

Thanks, folks! I appreciate the warm welcome back.

Wildwest, Bobby used to have a website, done by his good friend Ginia who usually assists him at festivals. Her site has been down for several years, and I don't think she's planning on putting it back online. I haven't volunteered to do a Facebook page for Bobby because I feel that's getting into Ginia's territory. If I get the chance, I will ask Bobby if it's ever been discussed. He joined Facebook a few years back to follow some family members, but I don't think he ever visits the site!

Bobby went to 3 festivals last year (in Ardmore OK, the Laramie, WY reunion, and Williamsburg, VA) but he hasn't scheduled anything for this year so far. That's too bad, because he's just the nicest to meet and chat with!

Isn't he just?! And he's always so interested in the folks he meets.

I've been working my way through all the movies he produced, mostly recently The Great Waldo Pepper with Robert Redford. It's so good!

As I suspected, Bobby and/or Ginia aren't planning to do a Facebook page. I agree that his fans would enjoy it, though!
