Have to say goodbye to METV

Post by ruskin » Tue May 29, 2018 8:14 pm

Waaaaaaaa :foxes_440:
We are going to be moving (again) in the next couple months and METV is not available where we will be
living :sadcowboy: METV is only available where we are here on the Pacific coast but we are moving 11 hours away east and they just don't have it. (sigh)

Thanks goodness for Rifleman DVD's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wished I could get complete sets of Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Wagon Train though... I don't know if there are such a thing or not.

No MeTV - Oh Noooo! :surprisedcowboy:

I didn't have MeTV or INSP before I moved. Now I have everything and
I only moved across town. Same cable company but more channels.
But Direct TV is not in my area. Hmmm - Technology? :dontknow:

Hopefully you can find the DVD's you want. GunSmoke was on for 20 years -
TV-LAND and MeTV seem to run the same episodes over and over. :neutralcowboy:

I can watch Gunsmoke over & over again, in fact I do.

I have all 635 episodes, but some of the quality is really bad. Someone gave me these years ago. I went through them and separated them, but just don't have the heart to through away the bad ones. I probably should throw some of them out but just don't have the heart to.

I hated to throw away all my VHS tapes when I moved.
Thank goodness for DVDs and YouTube.

I watch GunSmoke over and over again too because it's on TV. Matt Dillon made me sick until I saw an interview with James Arness and Amanda Blake. Now I dislike the writers for not letting Matt kiss Miss Kitty. :peturbed:

Knowing there won't be any kissing between Matt and Kitty makes it easier to for me to watch.
If Miss Kitty can accept the fact that Matt will never marry her then so can I.
Festus got more kisses from Kitty than Matt did. :)

"The Bullet" - Miss Kitty put things in perspective for me. What a woman!

YouTube... didn't think of that, thanks! Yes for the moment we are home lol. Have a craft fair to do tomorrow then we go back on Sunday. We have to do the legal stuff for the house deal and get the keys etc. We should only be about a week or so this time though as we'll have to get back to start packing (oh joy!... not) We are going to try get this move done on or before the end of July.

Speaking of Gunsmoke.... as I see we have been a little (I love it, and watch every day),
One extremely dumb thing I notice...

Doc Adams has an UPSTAIRS office!!
Come on... with as many guys that have got shot, including all the Gunsmoke men,
You would have thought they would have got REALLY, REALLY tired, of lugging those
big galutes up all those stairs!! Especially lugging Matt Dillon!!
No ground floor space for rent??? REALLY?? After 20 +years??!!

I agree with you Dan, I thought this many times.

Doc Burrage had a ground level office and he even tended patients in the hotel.
