I would have to say "ordeal"-as a life long desert dweller, the episode was too realistic for me.

Also, " young man's fancy"-I am in the minority, but I could not stand sally walker.

Ha... thanks!

I can hack the Jackmans, BECAUSE... the episode was meant to be funny, and NOT taken dramatically..

I did not like:
Knight Errant
None so Blind ... COMPLETELY ridiculous!! Probably one of the top three most stupid.
Never liked any show (almost) that had stars do double rolls..
So.. Guilty Conscience and Deadly Image
Most of the Royal Dano episodes
(for starters)

What an interesting list. I do like to see Royal Dano. I liked him in The Sheridan Story. It shows the pain and suffering that took place during the civil war. And what a brave little ant Blanden played in this episode, to stand up to Grant.

One of my favorites of his is in the Gunsmoke episode, Vengeance.

Vengeance was awesome!!
But look at the difference in characters..
He played the exact opposite in Vengeance, (a tough ruthless bad guy) Which I prefer...
as opposed to the similar roles he played in Rifleman... (Usually unstable, weakling)

Paul Fix was also in that one!
I also liked James Stacy as Yankton..
Did you know he was Married to Kim Darby? And Connie Stevens?
He also lost an arm and a leg in a motorcycle accident.

I guess I'm in the minority also. I didn't like Sally Walker (Cheryl Holdridge) either.

Cheryl was on a few episodes of "Leave It To Beaver" and I didn't like her on that either. :glare: (Hmmm)

Yanton, he was great! The cast was great also.

Vengeance & Yanton is one of my favorite Gunsmoke episode. But of course my favorite is Hostage! Which of course coincides with your avatar.

Yes I did know about his marriages.

They say Connie Stevens stuck by him through it all.

It seems that everything went down hill for him after his accident. Although he still kept acting. I think he help others doing this.

I did like the characters Gates (Jack Elam) and as Scoobo (Charles Reade) together. They were fun to watch! But the rest of the episode, welllll.....

As most know, I was not "generally" a fan of the Lou Mallory era, and most of those episodes..
Too many instances of things that didn't make sense.. Which I think we all agree,
was partly due to running out of ideas, for a growing Mark...
Which was nobody's fault.. It wasn't his fault he was growing up..
But they treated him, like we wanted to keep him.. A little boy..

In Mission Springs.. Why did Lou have to feed him?
Didn't his arms work ok??
