The Rifleman as a whole

I thought it would be neat to have a place to discuss "The Rifleman" episodes. If there is an episode you wish to discuss in length, please feel free to post it here.

To my knowledge, the rifleman was the first show that tried to wrap up loose ends. We learn the circumstance of Margaret's death. Plus, there is the names of the episodes titles: end of the hunt and miracle at require springs.

I have read some of the comments on you tube . one of the posters wrote that he/she had heard/read Mark was supposed to become a bitter, disillusioned young man in season 6.

I would also like to know more about Mark supposedly becoming a bitter, disillusioned young man in season 6.

That would have been interesting to see Mark become the opposite of the Mark we loved for 5 years.

What in the world would have changed Mark in a 6th season? :dontknow:
He had plenty of love and understanding and Mark loved Lucas unconditionally.

I doubt if Lucas could/would have tried to keep Mark on the ranch to be his partner instead of letting Mark pursue his dreams.

Lucas to Mark: "I love you more than anything else in the whole world."

Could Mark have a delayed reaction and breakdown due to guilt over Charlie's death?

Also, does Mark have some repressed memories? He did not recognize Claire wheatley or Ann dodd, his mother's best friends. Mark also does not recognize his grandfather sam Gibbs.
