That was neat - Ken Curtis/Festus would be proud. :happycowboy:

WildWest - Are you still watching GunSmoke?

Have you seen enough episodes to decide who you like best - Chester or Festus? :neutralcowboy:

I have been watching a lot of reruns. I think I like Festus more, he was kinda corny!! and I loved the slang way he talked.

That's an excellent way to put it - WildWest!
They both were "ride or die" for Matt. :horse02: :huntercowboy:

And that's another reason why I luv this group. Other people's perspective/opinion can sometimes put a better/different light on things.

I think I like Festus better than Chester. He had more personality and some of his kin folk were a real hoot. Ken Curtis had a wonderful singing voice & I wish he would have done more singing on Gunsmoke. I also wish he hadn't developed that twang in his voice (I almost didn't recognize him on his 1st appearance [before Festus] on the show because he was very nicely dressed & didn't have the twang in his voice) because he had a very nice voice, but I guess it went with the fact that he came from hill people.

I'm sitting here, watching the Rawhide episode 'Incident of the Lost Idol' & guess who's playing a bounty hunter? None other than Festus, Ken Curtis himself. Even though he was first seen in a night scene, I recognized his profile. He sure was a fine actor.
