I am guessing Two_ bit is the horse and Shag is the dog.

Is that Johnny and Dick Clark? Is Frank (Lumpy Rutherford) Banks in the background?

yes thats Two Bits Johnnys personal horse and Shag,,,,,,I had never seen a pic of Shag before. and Johnny with DIck Clark
