New Orleans Menace episode

I thought it would be neat to have a place to discuss "The Rifleman" episodes. If there is an episode you wish to discuss in length, please feel free to post it here.

Thank you, wildwest!

When Mark opened his account, did Lucas have to co-sign? Kudos to Mark for saving, but he could have had several store-bought haircuts.

No I don't think Lucas had to co-sign for Mark. No mention of it. But I wonder if Mark would have had to add a beneficiary? :sillycowboy: But then of course everyone in town new Mark & Lucas and things weren't so formal back then.

Yes I'm surprised Mark did not head to Hatties store for some rock candy instead of putting it in the bank. Lucas must have been talking to Mark about the value of saving. He was always saying that ....money was their short crop

I always love that saying! Money might have been their shore crop, but they sure weren't short on love.

do you think banking was a new concept many people did not trust. many hid their money in the yard, under the bed, behind a brick in the fireplace, in the cookie jar (thats the first place I would look)

Didn't Eban Muchen hide his money box behind a brick in his fireplace?

Is there anybody else we can think of that hide their money on The Rifleman.

Where did Lucas keep his money before he decided to use the bank?

help me with one. didn't Denver Pyle hide some (stolen) money out in the woods. he went to look for it when he was supposed to be digging stumps for Lucas. I see him going there in a flatbed wagon.

or is it too early in the morning for me to be thinking correctly? I never saw that Lucas had a special stash for cash

You are thinking of The Executioner with Adam Williams as Russell Gannaway
