we now know that Mark gets 'itchy' from riding on stagecoaches. we also know you don't interrupt Lucas day and steal his rifle. that could prove deadly to you. I like Marks English language when he says....do ya hafta? Mark used slang a lot in the episodes.

I do have a new question now about this episode. if they went to sell their herd why are they coming back on a stagecoadh? How did they get....drive....their herd to market?
did they drive them there and sell their horses and return by stage? I never caught this point before.

we also see when Mark heard Lucas coming he grabs his shirt and slips it on. by the time he gets to Lucas his shirt is neatly tucked in his pants. how did he do that on a full run??

we see a young Vic Morrow. Lucas was genius mounting the pistol on the board. great writing with this one.

Because they went to sell the herd, does not mean they had the herd with them...
I would go and negotiate a price BEFORE I drove them... What if you get there,
and the guy insults you with a ridiculous price??
Just a thought...
Not like they had email or telephones...

You both make a good point here, what I was wondering was how did Lucas get a heard so quick? Did some cattle come with the ranch. If you remember The Sharpshooter when Lucas & Mark were riding around the ranch we did see some cattle, was that on the Dunlap ranch?

Thats a good point Dan about how to handle selling a herd and Cowgirl about how fast Lucas built up a herd. I just love our Rifleman discussions!!!

Vic Morrow does an excellent job in both of his episodes that he appeared in.....
The Angry Gun as Johnny Cotton
Letter of the Law as Brett Stocker
"Keep your 'sites' on The Rifleman"
"The Rifleman hits the 'Mark' every week on abc."
